The Axe Axis brings into focus every area of jazz music that Jason is and continues to be inspired by including modal jazz, swing, latin jazz and latin music, and more!

"Gentle Piece" is a special track that features special guest; professional jazz guitarist and educator; Rick Vandivier as Jason and Rick blend their acoustic and electric guitar's in a modern duo version of the beautiful ECM original "Gentle Piece" by Kenny Wheeler.

The official recording will be released on all platforms and streaming services on Tuesday February 22nd, 2022.

Strings: Elixir 13 Phosphor Bronze & custom made tortoise shell pick by David Welch, Florida, USA. Microphones Jason uses included Neumann KM-184 Condenser & Royer Lab R10 Ribbon Microphones.

Rick Vandivier uses a Ibanez GB 10. George Benson signature model. Made in 1983. Rick used a Music Man '210-HD one hundred thirty' amp.
